DONATION CLASSES OF '60 & '61

Classmates:

We recently visited my brother and other relatives around Labor Day in Grand Forks.  The weather there was good and we had a great time visiting with our friends.  I have several items that I need to discuss with you on news that I have received and information which was developed during my visit.

First, we have, unfortunately, lost another classmate.  Don Rodningen called me this morning (Monday) to inform me of the passing of Dan Kuhlman.  Dan has been suffering from some severe medical problems over the past year or two and left us earlier this morning.   I will post his obituary in the "In Memory" section of the website when I can.

Second, while visiting Grand Forks, I met with Pat Budge, Diane Helgesen, Glen Clayton, Marilyn Vold Anderson and Carolyn Ronan Honkola to make some definite plans for our 65th reunion in September, 2025.

Here's the plan:  We selected Saturday, September 20, 2025, to hold a one-day 65th class reunion.  Once again, we will hold the reunion at the Hilton Garden Inn where we held our last two reunions.

We have reserved a large room which will be our reunion headquarters which is near the hotel bar and restaurant.  We will begin our festivities in the early afternoon and will likely conclude our party in mid-to-late evening.

These plans include several major changes.  The biggest and best change is thay there will be no charge to attend the reunion.  Our class savings account has enough money to cover our expenses.  A second change is that each attendee will be able to purchase dinner at the hotel restaurant and will also be responsible for their liquid refreshments during the reunion.

We do not plan to have a banquet or dance music; however, the class account will provide for snacks and other treats.

Any other activities which individual class members care to plan, are certainly encouraged, such as golf, potluck reunions, etc.  We still have a year to plan the reunion so anyone who has any other ideas or questions, are encouraged to contact me.  Further information on the reunion will be provided as it becomes available.

Stay safe, stay well, and above all, stay with us.

Still Your President

Dean Schroeder
