DONATION CLASS OF '60

Classmates

I am happy to report that our 65th class reunion was a success.  Approximately 25 of our classmates were able to attend and were quite enthusiastic about seeing their friends.  When spouses, friends and family members  were included, I estimate a total turnout of approximately 45-50 guests.  As has always been the case, everyone had a great time and our celebration lasted well into the evening hours.  Special thanks are given to the members of the local committee who included Marilyn Vold, Liz Skarperud, Glen Clayton, Diane Helgeson, Carolyn Ronan, and Pat Budge.  Special thanks go to Don & Patty Rodningen, who supplied sandwiches and treats during our party and to Aileen White who provided liquid refreshments in the form of champagne.  Although several classmates suggested a 70th class reunion, no decision was made.  Future plans will be reported as they occur.

As I write this report, Karen & I are 2-1/2 months into a 3-month visit to Florida.  Unfortunately, the weather in Florida this year has been unseasonably cold.  However, it's warmer here than our home in Wyoming.  We are planning a short cruise trip along the Carolinas coast before returning home.  Hopefully, the warmer weather will have arrived by then.

We expect to visit Grand Forks for a week or so around Memorial Day.  Hopefully, we will see some of our local classmates during that trip.  If anyone else plans to visit Grand Forks at that time, let me know so we can get together.

I hope everyone is looking forward to a warmer spring and pleasant summer.

Stay safe, stay well, and above all, stay with us

Still Your President
