Gary Nelson

After a career of teaching physical education, I retired about ten years ago. I taught half a dozen years in Esparto, CA and Leadville, CO. The rest of my career was in Aurora, CO. In the sixties and seventies, I spent my summers as a hiking counselor at Cheley Colorado Camps in Estes Park, CO. For nearly fifty years, I've done a lot of of hiking and mountaineering in Colorado.

My wife and I like to travel, especially since we retired. Our most recent trip was to Chile and Argentina this past February. In August, we will travel with friends to Northern Ireland and Ireland. My usual activities include going to a fitness club, cycling, and going to Starbucks!! We have a time share in Estes Park and stay there a month every year. I still enjoy college hockey and have season tickets to the University of Denver. I'm for DU unless they play the Sioux.
