Avis D. Klave, 55, Auburn, Washington, formerly of Thief River Falls and Grand Forks, died Thursday, November 5, 1998, in North Auburn Rehabilitation Center. 

Avis D. Klave was born November 22, 1942, in Los Angeles.  She moved to Thief River Falls and later to Grand Forks, where she graduated from high school in 1960.  She moved to Auburn in 1963.  She married Dan Klave on January 25, 1964, in Auburn.  She worked for Tom Matson Dodge and Auburn Nissan.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; sons, Dan Carnas, Washington, and David Fife, Washington; a grandchild; her mother Ellen Larson, Puyallup, Washington; a sister Ginny Anderson, Auburn; and brothers Arline "Butch", Puyallup, Gary, Kent, Washington, Ed, Tacoma, Washington, and Greg, Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Services were held in Auburn.  Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Auburn, Washington.  Memorials are suggested to Mesiah Lutheran Church of American Cancer Society (Price-Helton, Auburn, Washington).
