Glenda Mae Hallstone, age 80, of Fresno, California passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022.

Gudo lived a courageous life. She developed diabetes as a child. She took very good care of herself through all these years. We both majored at UND in Nutrition and Dietetics and she went on to a Dietetic Internship. She used her education to help others as a Nutrition consultant/ Dietitian and her education guided her own life Within the last year in conversation, Gudo relayed to me, that she wished that she had studied art when she was younger. Therefore, I thought that some might like to donate to the Art Department at Central. I contacted John Strandell, the principal at Central High, this week. I asked what would be the best way to accomplish this. He suggested that we make individual donations (from those who would like to donate) with a check made out to : Grand Forks Foundation for Education, 24 147th Avenue South Grand Forks, ND 58201. And, include an accompanying note, noting that you would like this donation given to the Grand Forks Central Art Department in honor of Glenda "Gudo" Agotness, Central Class of 1960. He also said "what a great gift in honor of your friend, Glenda". He added the Art Department is always short on funds. Gudo's art work is amazing...the character each of the people that she paints comes through each portrait. They are beautiful and think many would be interested in seeing them.
