WINTER IS WANING
We hope everyone survived the holidays and had a rewarding Christmas season with family and friends. As we promised earlier, spring is just around the corner and everyone should be experiencing increasingly nicer weather over the next weeks and months. Spring was always great in Grand Forks as it not only indicated the coming summer, but also the end of the school year. Unfortunately, the streets would thaw during the day and freeze at night causing less than satisfactory driving conditions.
Interest in a 55th reunion remains strong. During my visits to Grand Forks and contacts with classmates, indicates continued interest in our next reunion. Tom Benson, who assisted in the St. James reunion, has contacted me and Jimmies have been invited to participate in the 55th reunion for both schools. Tom assures me that there is continued interest from his classmates as well. Unfortunately, we have heard of the passing of one of the Jimmies. Jim Penwarden passed away earlier this year after a long illness. Jim also assisted in the planning and running of the 50th reunion for St. James.
We continue to hear from lost classmates. Joan Berg recently joined the website from Idaho. Please go to her profile and find out what she has been doing and where she has been over the years. It looks as though our list of missing classmates is around 15 at this time. If any of you have found any of our other missing classmates, please let me know or ask them to join the website.
We plan to begin organizing the 55th within the next year or so. We welcome any suggestions from our classmates concerning our activites, events, or schedule for the reunion. Please contact me or place a note on the website concerning your suggestions. Stay safe, stay with us, and stay in touch. We will be in contact with you over the coming months.
